Listed below are answers to the most commonly asked questions I receive. If you have any further questions regarding any aspect of this website, please do not hesitate to contact me.
What rights do I receive when purchasing a Non-Exclusive license?
Non-exclusive rights enable the buyer to:
- Make one master recording over the beat/instrumental
- Distribute this recording for any profitable or non-profitable use for up to 2000 copies
- Distribute the recording on any kind of recording media (CD, DVD, VHS, etc.)
- Continue to distribute the recording for up to 2 years after the instrumental is licensed
Please understand that production credit must be given to Zaggadon Productions for distributed material. This can be done verbally on the recorded song, or displayed in text on the CD booklet/back cover.
I’d like my beat sent to me in .WAV format, is this possible?
Yes. After your purchase simply send me your request in an email with the names of the beat(s) you have purchased and I will promptly send you a link to the beat(s) in .WAV format.
I’ve just purchased a beat and I would like the beat tracked-out (seperated) into individual WAV files, is this possible?
Yes, after your purchase send me an email with your request and I will send you a .ZIP or .RAR file containing the seperated instruments.
If I buy non-exclusive rights to a beat, and someone buys it exclusively later, do I keep my non-exclusive rights?
Yes. You keep your non-exclusive rights to the beat even if someone buys exclusive rights later. However, after your rights run out, you can no longer license the beat.
If I purchase more than one beat at a time, do I receive special discounts?
Yes, I will occasionally have special offers. Be on the look out for them.
Who makes these beats?
All tracks are created by me “Zaggadon”. All beats are created from the ground up, but I sometimes use loops & samples.
What equipment do you use to make these beats?
I use PC based work stations, Midi keyboards, VST Plug-Ins (virtual synthesizers, virtual instruments)
What are my limitations with free beats?
Free beats can be used for any non-profitable promotional or personal use including posting the recorded song on Myspace (and all other social networking sites), putting the song on your personal website, burning the song onto a cd to display your work for others, and any other non-profitable, non-commercial use.
